Lindsay Mai, PhD
Doctorate holder (City University of Hong Kong) with postdoctoral level of studies in developing education innovations and community co-creation workshops (Durham University, HKU, and EdUHK)
Over 15 years of teaching experience with all levels of learners, from children, teenagers, young adults, adult professionals, to senior citizens (60+)
ABRSM Piano Grade 8 with Merit, and ABRSM Music Theory Grade 5 with Distinction
Music training started in Xinghai Conservatory of Music in Guangzhou (China) in the 1990s, subsequently received consistent 1:1 private tutorship for 15 years, with top graded piano qualification awarded from the Chinese Musicians Association

There are currently 3 types of lessons available: 1-to-1 in 30 minutes or 1 hour, and one-hour family session (1-to-2).
Specific fee for each lesson type can be viewed here in the Fee Table.
30-minute lessons are recommended for children between the age of 4 and 8, or any learners who have started piano/ music theory lessons within a year.
Home-visit lessons can be arranged (i.e. the teacher travels to student homes in Hong Kong or Shenzhen urban areas). Travel fee applies as stated here in the surcharge.
For family sessions, there are two learners in each session, who can be siblings, parent/ guardian-child or any two family members living within the same household.
20% fee reduction for signing up onto 6+ weekly repeated lessons. First-time one-off trial lesson can be offered at 70% of the stated fee.
