Climate Arts?

Andrew Luk, 2026, Tai Kwun
Re-imaging the consistent impacts of climate change, artist Andrew Luk transformed his emotional reactions to the extreme urban heats into spatial displays of burnt fronts of air conditioners.
The climate-induced agitation was captured and framed, through dislocating twisted melted metals. The burnt objects hung in the air came across in the form of solidified dried yellow leaves in the devastated natural environment through condensed urban dwelling space.
The display was indeed aesthetically pleasing, whereas the agitation was not explicitly expressed in the silent frame.
